Description

These Keto Philly Cheesesteak Roll Ups are a low-carb twist on the classic sandwich, delivering all the savory, cheesy, meaty goodness without the bread. Using thinly sliced steak, sautéed peppers and onions, and melted provolone cheese, this dish makes a satisfying lunch or dinner that fits perfectly into a ketogenic lifestyle.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Filling

  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak or shaved beef

  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

For the Roll Ups

  • 8 slices provolone cheese

  • Optional: hot sauce or mustard for dipping

Instructions

  • Sauté the Veggies
In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil, then sauté the bell peppers and onions until soft and slightly caramelized, about 6–8 minutes.

  • Cook the Steak
Add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet with the veggies. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for 4–5 minutes or until the beef is fully cooked and browned.

  • Prepare the Cheese Roll Ups
On a parchment-lined baking sheet, place the provolone slices slightly spaced apart. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 5–6 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling but not browned.

  • Assemble the Roll Ups
Remove the cheese slices from the oven and allow them to cool for about 1 minute, just enough to handle. Spoon some of the steak and veggie mixture onto each cheese slice and carefully roll it up.

  • Serve and Enjoy
Serve warm with your favorite keto-friendly dipping sauce, or enjoy them on their own!

Notes

You can substitute provolone with mozzarella or Monterey Jack for a different flavor.

Use roast beef deli slices if you’re short on time.

To keep them crisp, avoid overfilling the cheese slices.

For extra flavor, top with sautéed mushrooms or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
