Description

This soothing, warm tea is packed with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties to help ease a sore throat. Cinnamon, honey, and lemon create a natural remedy that not only comforts but also boosts immunity.

Ingredients

Scale

Tea Base

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick (or ½ tsp ground cinnamon)
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger (optional, for extra soothing effects)

Flavor & Healing Boosters

  • 1 tbsp honey (raw honey preferred)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • ½ tsp turmeric (optional, for additional anti-inflammatory benefits)
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional, to help with congestion)

Instructions

  • Simmer the Cinnamon
In a small pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the cinnamon stick (or ground cinnamon) and ginger. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

  • Strain & Mix
Remove the cinnamon stick and ginger (if used). Pour the tea into a mug and stir in honey, lemon juice, and any optional ingredients like turmeric or cayenne.

  • Enjoy & Feel the Relief
Sip the tea while warm, allowing the soothing ingredients to coat your throat. Repeat 2–3 times a day for relief.

Notes

  • Why It Works: Cinnamon has antibacterial properties, honey soothes irritation, and lemon provides vitamin C to boost immunity.
  • Extra Healing: Adding turmeric enhances anti-inflammatory benefits, while cayenne pepper can stimulate circulation and relieve congestion.
  • Storage: This tea is best enjoyed fresh, but you can make a larger batch and store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Reheat before drinking.
