Description

These Bahama Mama Jello Shots combine the tropical flavors of coconut rum, dark rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine in a fun, jiggly treat. They’re sweet, fruity, and guaranteed to bring island vibes to your next party or summer gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

Jello Shot Base:

  • 1 box (3 oz) strawberry or tropical punch flavored Jell-O

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • ½ cup pineapple juice (cold)

  • ½ cup orange juice (cold)

Optional Additions:

  • 1 tbsp grenadine (for color and sweetness)

  • Orange or pineapple slices (for garnish)

  • Maraschino cherries (check for halal certification)

  • Whipped cream (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the Jello
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Jell-O mix and 1 cup of boiling water until the gelatin is fully dissolved (about 2 minutes).

  2. Add Juices and Flavor
Stir in the cold pineapple juice, orange juice, and grenadine. Mix well to ensure even distribution.

  3. Pour into Cups
Pour the mixture into 2 oz plastic shot cups or silicone molds. Leave a little room at the top for optional toppings.

  4. Chill Until Firm
Refrigerate the filled cups for at least 2–4 hours or until set.

  5. Garnish and Serve
Top with a maraschino cherry, a fruit slice, or a dollop of whipped cream just before serving.

Notes

Use halal-certified gelatin or a Jell-O brand that does not contain pork-derived gelatin.

For added flair, use layers of different flavors/colors (let each layer set before adding the next).

You can substitute the juice with mango nectar, guava juice, or other tropical blends.
